Project 10 Pan

I've decided to put myself on a Project 10 Pan. I know that this is kind of "last year" but my spending habits on makeup weren't this ridiculous a year ago. If I only have $20 leftover from my paycheck, I'll spend it on makeup. There have been days when I've bought makeup on break at work instead of food. I will go hungry for a day just to buy more makeup. That's pretty sad.

Here's the list of items that I'm attempting to use up:

1. Cherry Chapstick
2. Urban Decay Primer Potion (Depotted)
3. Maybelline single eyeshadow in Linen
4. Annabelle Liquid Eyeliner in Black Out
5. L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara
6. Softlips lip gloss (the name rubbed off)
7. Revlon ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze in Continuous Pink
8. L'Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
9. CoverGirl Clean Oil Control liquid makeup in #525 Buff Beige
10. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in #001 Transparent

You might have noticed that I have 11 items in the picture, and not 10. The 11th is my Revlon ColorStay Under Eye Concealer. I figured that since I'm already more than half finished and I still have a full jar of Maybelline Dream Mousse concealer, I should just throw it in here just to push myself to finish it up.

You'll be seeing a lot of these products in most of my upcoming tutorials. I'll be priming my eyes with my original UDPP instead of Sin, I'm going to try and use the Maybelline shadow as my everyday highlight, I'll use my Annabelle liquid eyeliner instead of my L'Oreal, I want to use up my Million Lashes because I have another one (thought I lost this one, so I repurchased. Then my friend told me a couple weeks later that I left it at her place. Oops). I'm going to only use these 2 lip glosses and try not to use any others. I'm going to finish up my L'Oreal primer so I can go back to using my MUFE HD (which I still have about 1/4 of the container left). And I think I'll mix my CoverGirl foundation with my Revlon ColorStay, because I really hate it (the CoverGirl, not Revlon). I've only used it 3 times, so I have pretty much the entire bottle left. And as you can see from the picture, I've already hit pan on my Rimmel Stay Matte powder. So once I finish that up, I'll go back to using my L'Oreal True Match (which I've also hit pan on).

This is going to be quite the adventure. Now, once I finish up one item, like say, the mascara, I'll try to finish up the other 4 mascaras that I have and only until I've completely finished all of them will I allow myself to buy another. I'm only going to do that with things I know I can't really do without, like the liquid eyeliner. If I finish the Annabelle one and then my L'Oreal before the Project is over, I'll buy another.

I'll probably end up making a video about this, because as of right now, I have a total of 0 readers haha.

Introduction & Welcome to my blog!

Hey everyone! Welcome to my brand new blog!

Right now, I'm curled up on the couch inside my pink snuggie while drinking sugar plum spice tea. Mmm. So I suppose I should tell you a little bit about myself. I'm 19 years old and I've lived in the same 35,000-population Ontario city for my entire life. I've worked at a grocery store since I turned 15 (that's how old you have to be to get a job there) and my dad is a department manager at the same store.

My parents divorced when I was 6, and up until I was 16 I went back and forth between their houses; two weeks at one, then two weeks at the other. Just before my last year of high school started, I decided that it would be best if I lived at my dad's and just went to my mom's for a weekend here and there. All of my stuff would be in one place. The downside to having two bedrooms? Having to split up all of your clothes and makeup. It always seemed like when I was at my dad's, I'd need a top that's at my mom's, and vice versa.

I've been out of high school for almost two years now, and my current plan is to go to college in January of 2012. I'm not sure what program I want to take in order to make a career out of it, but for my first year, I'll just be taking a General Arts & Science program, which is basically just a prep course for college/university. I've considered becoming a professional makeup artist, but I think that's something I'd rather do on the side.

My passion for makeup (as well as my collection) has grown bigger every year for the last 6 years. I started wearing eyeliner and mascara in grades 7 & 8. Grades 9 to 11, I used a light coverage foundation (I don't think it's sold anymore, but it was the CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Makeup with a primer and a foundation) a loose powder from Physician's Formula, a Revlon eyeshadow quad (which I still love and continue to purchase to this day), eyeliner and L'Oreal's Voluminous mascara. Now, I do a full face of makeup and I will film my everyday makeup routine sometime within the next week.

I'm getting a new camera on Monday, so I'm not going to film any more videos until then because the only thing I can film with is my webcam. I currently have 3 videos up - 2 tutorials and my January Favourites.

Thanks for checking out my blog and I'll talk to you later!
